How Pocono Sign Company got its start

   Pocono Sign Company is a family business that has been in the sign industry for over 25 years. It all started over 25 years ago when my father, John Terwilliger, and uncle, Robert Terwilliger, decided to open their own sign shop. The sign patriarchs started in a garage and built their way up to the number one sign company in Orange County, NY. Anywhere from Newburgh, Westchester, Buffalo, New York City, Long Island in New York to the Paramus, NJ Business District to NEPA our family's craftsmanship can be found. Since I can remember I was around signs. I have been doing sign and graphic design work since I was a young boy. After moving to NEPA in 2007 I decided that signs were in my blood and that was what I wanted to do. This is when Pocono Sign Company was born. What started out as vinyl graphics and design hobby has now developed into a full service sign shop servicing clients in the Tri-State area.  Pocono Sign Co. has a full retail sign shop as well as wholesale

manufacturing metal shop. We specialize in metal fabrication such as channel letters, illuminated and non-illuminated sign cabinets. Successful signage involves more than creating an attractive arrangement of logos and slogans. It is also a blending of complex elements such as marketing, demographics, an understanding of visual acuity, conspicuity, and obliquity. Complicating the task is the fact that the reader is usually moving, and the sign must be seen, read and understood in an instant.
